Leslie Pitterson was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on February 11.1958
After graduating from STATHS (CT 3 /prefect), Leslie attended the College of Arts Science an< Technology (CAST), now
University of Technology in Kingston. Jamaica on a day release program. As a teacher, he dedicated himself to his
students and to his community. He taught at Ocho Rios Secondary School and the Jonathan Grant Secondary School in
Spanish Town, Jamaica.
After migrating to the United States he worked at Ward Leonard Electric Company. In 1987 he purchased Troy Metal
Products, an Engineering Machine Shop in New Rochelle NY, where he manufactured and machined many products
including the timing rack that is used by McDonalds. In 1989, he and his wife started an Electronics business. Troy
Components, which traded electronics with companies from Japan, Europe the Philippines and other countries.
With each hard job and each trial, Leslie continued to move forward focusing his sights on the goal of owning his own
business. In 1990, he had opened the first location of his printing business, Troy Sign and Printing Center on White
Plains Road in The Bronx. Today, he is proud to call the current location his final home, having purchased the
building in 2001. Troy has become a mainstay in the comm unity providing service to various businesses, schools,
churches and social organizations.
On any given day, no matter what else is going on, Leslie's aim is always to provide his customers with the best
service. In all things, Leslie had attributed the success of his business to the dedication of a committed staff, his
loving family and the blessings of the Lord. Leslie is married to the former Maulene Watson and together they have
two beautiful daughters, Leslie-Ann age 20 and Shellev-Ann age 12.
