| Gladston Wilson LLB '68 |
Mr. Gladston Wilson obtained his early education at the St.
Catherine Primary School and later attended St.Andrew Technical
High School in 1964. A member of HE22. He specialized in
Commerce.
After leaving STATHS, he did several jobs and later went to work at
the then Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC) as a presenter and
moved to Divisional Director by the time where he left in 1985. He
later completed- a first degree in Communications. He did some
consultancy work while doing his Masters, and went back to JBC in
1991 until 1997 when the station closed and became TVJ. He was
promoted during this time to Director of Radio and later General
Manager for the stations.
Mr. Wilson at present is a practicing attorney in the Courts of
Jamaica and a barrister in England. He also teaches law as well
communications at the Institute of Law and Economics Jamaica. He
is still heavily in media as he hosts a programme on KLAS Sports
Radio. In 2006 he was awarded OD -officer class for distinguished
service for broadcasting. He is Currently the Vice Chairman of the
School Board.
